Error message: There was an error processing your request

If you get an error message like "There was an error processing your request..." it may be that your server is using IPv6 to connect to the EU VIES, which does not support IPv6 properly.
Please have a look in your system configuration of our module and set the "IPv6 compatibility mode" to "On". After that, a new input field appears where you have to declare your servers IPv4 address to bind the requests to the EU VIES on. Requesting VAT number validations should now be possible.
As of the 17th April 2020 VIES implemented a redirect to https and some systems can not follow that redirect. Please read our blog post regarding this issue.
